MacKinnon, Jennie Blanche – 83, Whycocomagh, Inverness Co., passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Port Hillford, Guysborough County, she was a daughter of the late George and Irma (Mills) MacKinnon.
Jennie is survived by her sisters, Mary MacKinnon, Whycocomagh, Jessie MacKinnon, Alderwood, Baddeck; nieces, Laura (Ian) MacDougall, Lake Ainslie, Jacqui (Darren) MacIntosh, Valley, Irma Punch, Whycocomagh; nephews, George (Joanne) MacKinnon, Whycocomagh, Charlie (Deborah) MacKinnon, Mabou; and her beloved cats, Buddy and Autumn. Besides her parents, Jennie was predeceased by her sister, Margaret MacLennan. She was a proud member of the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Whycocomagh.
Visitation will take place on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 3 – 7 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025, in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Whycocomagh with Margie MacIntyre, LM officiating. Burial in Stewartdale Cemetery at a later date.
