I worked with Annette for a number of years when we were both employed by ECBC in Port Hawkesbury.
She was kind, caring, witty and spoke often about her family. Her love for them was evident; she would always light up when Chuck would come by the office! It was a display of true love than I remember vividly to this day.
My condolences to the family, RIP, Annette.

Annette had a heart of Gold. I met her early in my career and she took me under her wing like a daughter. Not only did she teach me a great deal but personally, she was very good to me. She knew I was a single parent struggling and always offered me clothes she thought I could use. It was always needed and greatly appreciated. She did these good deeds quietly and silently without seeking something in
return. Her love for her family was evident. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. She was a remarkable women I feel very blessed to call my friend.

Chuck, Joe, Charlee and Families: Neil and I want to express our heartfelt sympathy. We hope that you will always find comfort and support in the love you share and the beautiful memories you will treasure always. Annette was such a wonderful friend. We were back door neighbours who became instant lifelong friends, bonding over children, weather, gardening, day to day life and many, many Chuckisms. She was realistic, compassionate and always her authentic self. Throughout her battle, she remained amazingly positive and so committed to helping others to navigate through diagnosis and treatment. She was a beautiful human. She loved her family, she was so proud of her children and grandchildren. We know that her strength of character and her beautiful spirit will live on in her children and grandchildren. As we grieve her loss we will also remember that she lived a beautiful life, and her life gave us so many good memories that will always be too beautiful to forget.
Sending our Love, Maureen & Neil

Deepest condolences to the Moar family on Annette's recent passing.
I worked with Annette at ECBC, (me in Sydney, Annette in Port Hawkesbury). When I would visit the Port Hawkesbury office she was always welcoming and we would have great chats. It seemed like we had known each other for years and that there was no distance between our work sites. I'm sure she made everyone feel this way. She was a wonderful person who was always professional and pleasant, even in trying times. She will be missed by her former coworkers and ECBC clients in the Strait area.
May you rest in peace Annette and profound sympathy to your family.

Chuckie and Family,
I am out of province and unable to do so in person, but I send my most sincere condolences to you all on the passing of Annette.
She was truly one of the nicest people I ever met.
My own lasting memory will be of the many times meeting Annette out for a walk about town (while she was holding hands with her best friend.)
Never once was I not treated to her warm smile and kind eyes when our paths crossed.
Annette had the rare ability to make others feel better just by talking to them for a few moments and that in itself is a very special thing.
We should all follow her example in life.

Our most sincere condolences to Chuck and family on the passing of Annette, God Bless her, she put up a great fight. I grew up with Annette here in town and remembering playing with her as a child. I remember she would come up to play and bring small little packets of airline condiments from the Dutch airline that Hilda must have travelled on. We thought these tiny pkgs. we’re so cute. How naive we were, playing house with these tiny packets. May you all have wonderful memories that will carry you all through this
Very sad time. Sincerely, Paula (Ryan) Maclachlan and Archie Maclachlan.

Q: How did you meet Florence?
A: Dear Chuck and Family:
I'm so very, very sorry to hear of the loss your very wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend, Annette. I met the MacDonald's when we first moved to Port Hawkesbury on Monday, 3 October 1960! I was in Grade Six and Heather was in Grade Four!
I also met the Moar Family when their mother, Theresa, worked at the ladies clothing store, Shoppers World at the Causeway Shopping Center.
Annette wrote a very beautiful obituary and I was so happy to read that she had the support of her family and close friends!
May all the very wonderful memories that you all have of Annette, help you all in the difficult days ahead.
Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
God love and bless you all and keep you all always in His care.
Love, prayers and hugs
Valerie Ann xoxo
