WARNER, John Dwight “Jackie” – 58, River Bourgeois, Richmond Co., formerly of Port Hawkesbury, died Saturday August, 23, 2008 in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late John Thomas and Catherine Eileen (Myette) Warner. Jackie was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish, Port Hawkesbury. He was formerly employed by the Town of Port Hawkesbury Recreation Dept. and was also a former taxi driver. He is survived by sons Tom (Natasha), River Bourgeois, Jim (Joy) Halfpenny, Jody (Danena) Halfpenny, both of Fort McMurray, Ab; sisters Cynthia (Wayne) Fraser, Halifax, Wanda (Danny) Fraser, Dingwall; brothers Harvey, Port Hawkesbury, Dale, Halifax; grandchildren Brett, Christian, Trevor, Lesley; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Gail. Visitation will be 4-9pm Friday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury where the funeral service will be held 10am Saturday with Fr. Andrew Boyd officiating. Burial in St. Joseph’s Parish Cemetery, Port Hawkesbury. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
