Williams, Gladys Lucille - 64, of Linwod, Antigonish Co., passed away peacefully Monday, July 6, 2009 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, with her loving family at her side. Gladys was born in Yarmouth, she was a daughter of the late Augustus and Lillian (Comeau) Deveau. Gladys was a member of Trinity United Church, Mulgrave, and a member of the former Kinette Clubs of Mulgrave and Havre Boucher. She is survived by her husband, Alex, sons, Wayne (Cindy),Frankville; John (Jody), Red Deer, Alberta; Donald(Randi), Millet, Alberta; daughter, April (Michael) Pettipas, Linwood; sisters, Vivian Williams, Hebron, Yarmouth Co.; Carol (David) Cherney, Argyle, Shelburne Co; Marilyn (Norbert) Comeau, Bangor, Digby Co.; brothers, George (Lila) Comeau, Lower Sackville; Martin (Ivy) Deveau, Penhold, Alberta; Percy (Marsha) Devau, Pittsfield, Mass., USA; Clifford (Sharon) Deveau , Ft. McMurray, Alberta; Gordon (Marg) Deveau, Saulnierville; Larry (Sylvia) Deveau, Moncton ; David (Joan) Deveau, Metagan Station. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Courtney, Leah and William Pettipas, Candace, Mitchell and Shawn Williams, Alexander Williams, Brennan and Erika Williams. Gladys was predeceased by brother Tippy, nephews Weeg, Eric, niece Charlene and brother-in-law Donald Williams. Visitation will be held Wednesday, from 2-9 p.m. and Thursday, from 10 am -12p.m. in St. Paul's Centre, Havre Boucher. Funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. in St Lawrence Church, Mulgrave with Rev. Jim Chisholm officiating. Burial in Trinity United Church Cemetery.
