Munroe, Allan James – 88, Guysborough, formally of Little Dover, died Tuesday, January 6, 2009 in Guysborough Memorial Hospital, Guysborough. Born in Little Dover, he was a son of the late George and Mary Martella (Murphy) Munroe. Allan was a fisherman all his life and a member of St. Agnes parish, little Dover. Allan is survived by his brothers Raymond (Kathleen) Munroe, Little Dover; Andrew Munroe, Halifax; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Annie (Barry) Munroe; sister Catherine. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. today, in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover with Father Daniel Boudreau officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
