WATTS, Bernadette Ann - 53, Port Hood. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a dear wife, mother, sister and friend on July 4, 2007, surrounded by her loving family after a short illness.
Bernadette was a stay home mom who dedicated her life to her husband and three sons. She was also a loving sister and dedicated friend. She is survived by her loving husband, L.G., Port Hood; sons, Wilfred and Brennan, Port Hood, and Hadley, Calgary. She is also survived by sisters, Annette (Raymond) MacLean, Howie Centre, and Rose (Adrian) MacKinnon, Alberta; brother-in-law, Robert (Betty) Watts (Joanne, Roberta and Hugh), Port Hood; special nieces, Jennifer and Kenna MacLean, Howie Centre; Jennifer, Shannon and Kim MacKinnon, Alberta; special family members, Eileen and Bernie Sampson, Reynalda MacDonald, Dawn, Judy and Janice, whom she dearly adored. She was a member of the CWL, Port Hood, and enjoyed singing in the parish choir. Bernadette often displayed her generosity and compassion by giving to others.
Visitation for Bernadette will be held Sunday, July 8, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Port Hood Community Funeral Home, Port Hood. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 9, at 11 a.m. in St. Peter’s Parish, Port Hood, with Rev. Eugene Morris officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or palliative care. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
