WATERS, Freda Margaret - 59, Whycocomagh, died Monday, October 15, 2007, in Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck. Born in Ashfield, Inverness Co., she was a daughter of the late Malcolm and Eva (MacKinnon) MacKinnon. Freda was a retired employee of Maersk Line, Halifax; a member of Stewart United Church, Whycocomagh and a foster parent. Surviving are daughter, Christa Waters (Cheryl Brooking), St. Andrew's, N.B.; sisters, Jenny Simpson, Orangedale; Hughena (Dennis) Skelhorne, Falmouth; Elaine MacKinnon, North Bay, Ont.; brother, Donald John (Anne), Ashfield. She was predeceased by daughter, Lynn. There will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held Thursday, October 18, at 11 a.m. in Stewartdale Cemetery, Rev. Donna Tourneur officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Stewartdale Cemetery Fund or Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh.
