WATSON, Joseph Edgar “Ted” – 72, Port Hawkesbury, after a short courageous but dignified battle with cancer, passed away Thursday April, 17, 2008 in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born and raised in Inverness, he was the eldest son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Lannigan) Watson. Teddy was a loving and giving father and brother to all. He worked construction as a pipe fitter, having worked all over Canada. He made many friends and he loved his jokes. He cherished his trips away with one of his best friends, Ed Thompkins and later Ed’s son Justin. He loved to hunt and fish and just enjoyed the wildlife, especially in Egypt. Ted is survived by daughter Gail (John Jr) MacMullin, Queensville; son Michael (Ethel), Halifax; sisters Catherine “DeeDee” (Helmet Kluss), Kitchener, Ont, Roberta (Jerry MacKay), Montreal, Anita (Art Levine), Inverness, Linda Watson, Thorburn; brother Alex (Jackie), New Glasgow; brother-in-law and best friend Allan Harris, Pictou; loving grandchildren Elyse MacMullin, Merissa and Jeannie Watson; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by wife Jeanne Watson, sister Joanne and three grandchildren in infancy. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A family service and burial will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com “GONE FISHING”
