SNYDER, Daisy Glendelia Rosemond - 88. Peas Brook, formerly of Tor Bay died Thursday, December 20, 2007, in Canso Seaside Manor, Canso. Born in Tor Bay, Guysborough Co., she was a daughter of the late Henry and Violet (Gammon) Gammon. Daisy was a homemaker who loved knitting, quilting, crocheting, music and going for drives. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by daughter Ida (Kenneth) Zinck, Southwest Cove; sons, Harold (Nina) Dort, Wyses Corner, Albert (Linda) Snyder, Peas Brook, Edward (Sandra) Snyder, Anthony (Cathy) Snyder, Cooks Brook and Simon Snyder of Guysborough. Sister, Blanche Gammon, Truro; 18 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, William; daughter, Margaret Mikkelson; brothers James, George, and Johnny.
Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Friday in St. James Anglican Church, Half Way Cove. Funeral service will be held Saturday, at 2:30 p.m. in St. James Anglican Church with Rev. Tory Byrne officiating. Burial in the Church cemetery at a later date. Family flowers only, please. Memorial donations may be made to Guysborough Memorial Hospital Fund. Family would like to thank the homecare workers, the nurses and staff of the Guysborough Memorial Hospital and Canso Seaside Manor for the special care given to Daisy during her illness.
