SNYDER, Bernard Patrick - 91, Halfway Cove, Guysborough Co., died Wednesday, January 2, 2008, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Halfway Cove, he was a son of the late David and Annie (Neville) Snyder. Bernard was a laborer employed with Moir's and Canso Fish Plant. He was a member of St. James Anglican Church, Halfway Cove and a member of Royal Canadian Legion Chedabucto Branch 46, Canso. Bernard was also a volunteer of the Second World War. He is survived by daughter, Christina Snyder, Halifax; son, Robert (Sue Anne), Lower South River; grandchildren, Amelia Snyder, Nadine Snyder, Francis Snyder. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his wife, Matilda; son, Ross; sisters, Gladys, Annie, Alice, Catherine; brothers, Gregory, David, James, Gordon, Wilbur, Walter. Visitation will be today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in St. James Anglican Church with Rev. Tory Byrne officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. James Anglican Church.
