SNYDER, Bernard Patrick - 91, Halfway Cove, Guysborough Co., died Wednesday, January 2, 2008, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Halfway Cove, he was a son of the late David and Annie (Neville) Snyder.
Bernard was a laborer employed with Moir's and Canso Fish Plant. He was a member of St. James Anglican Church, Halfway Cove and a member of Royal Canadian Legion Chedabucto Branch 46, Canso. Bernard was also a volunteer of the Second World War.
He is survived by daughter, Christina Snyder, Halifax; son, Robert (Sue Anne), Lower South River; grandchildren, Amelia Snyder, Nadine Snyder, Francis Snyder. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his wife, Matilda; son, Ross; sisters, Gladys, Annie, Alice, Catherine; brothers, Gregory, David, James, Gordon, Wilbur, Walter.
Visitation will be today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in St. James Anglican Church with Rev. Tory Byrne officiating.
