Snow, Robert William -77, Fox Island Main, passed away Monday, July 13, 2009 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish, with his family by his side. Born in Fox Island, he was a son of the late John and Veronica (Richard) Snow. Robert was a retired self employed carpenter. He was a member of Star of the Sea Parish, Canso, he enjoyed fishing and hunting and in general loved the outdoors and his four wheeler. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Gladys (Blakeman); sons Dwaine (Linda) ,Philadelphia, PA, USA; Kenneth (Melissa Bond), at home, Mark (Tammy), Fall River; sisters, Blanche Horton, Canso and Sophie Terry, Antigonish; brothers, Gilbert (Amanda), Gerald (Grace) ,both of Alberta; Francis (Irene), Harve Boucher, Tory (Catherine), New Glasgow, and Ronnie ,NB. He is also survived by grandchildren, Alyssa, Joshua, Jayden, Stephen. Predeceased by brothers, John, Percy, Tom, Albert and Chester; sisters, Florence, Marie and Liz. Visitation will held 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday, in Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Canso with Father Daniel Boudreau officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
