RYAN, John Colin … 60, Port Hawkesbury, died Thursday, January 17,2008 at home. Born in Point Tupper, Richmond, Co, he was a son of the late Colin Francis and Mary Alice (Hayes) Ryan. John was a retired equipment operator with Stora Enso Point Tupper, Material Handling Dept. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish, Port Hawkesbury and an associate member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43, Port Hawkesbury. He is survived by daughter Karen (Eric Windsor); son Robert (Natasha) all of Port Hawkesbury; sisters Sadie Hearn, Ruby (Lorne) Johnstone, all of St. Margaret’s Bay; brother Harold, Yarmouth; grandchildren Michael, Christine, Taylor; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant sister, sister in law Carol, brother in law Fred Hearn, nephews Colin Hearn, George Cock. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9pm Monday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be held 11am Tuesday in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Hugh D.
