ROSE, Willis -73, Halifax, formerly of Canso, passed away suddenly Friday, April 11, 2008 in Canso. Born in LaPoile Bay, NL, he was a son of the late Bill MacDonald and Maize Rose. He served as the Chief Engineer on the draggers out of Canso, Mulgrave and Port Bickerton. Willis was a member of All Saints Anglican Church, Canso. He is survived by his wife Pauline (Richardson); daughters Melda (Zvonko) Blazevic, Janet Richards, both of Halifax; Tanya (Steve) Wittig, Vancouver, BC; sons Doug (Laura), Tom (Patsy) both of Canso; sister Florence Francis, Rose Blanche, NL; mother-in-law Blanche Richardson, Canso. Also leaving to mourn grandchildren Matthew, Beth, Wendy, Lezlie, Stephen, Dalton; four great-grandchildren; 3 nephews, 2 nieces. Willis was predeceased by two nephews, one niece; his feline friend Precious. There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday in All Saints Anglican Church, Canso, with Rev. Tory Byrne officiating. Burial at a later date. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations in memory of Willis may be made to your favorite charity.
