ROUSE, Shirley Ann … 62, Big Marsh Road, Inverness Co., died Monday September, 8, 2008 in Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck. Born in Kewstoke, she was a daughter of the late William Thomas and Katherine Margaret (MacLean) Nock. Shirley was a member of River Denys Presbyterian Church, where she served on the Board of Managers. She was also a member of both the Riverdale Auxiliary of Atlantic Missionary Society and the Ladies Aid. Shirley was well known as being a beautiful cook, especially famous for her delicious apple pies. When not in the kitchen baking goodies, she could be found talking about her grandchildren whom she loved and adored very much. She is survived by her husband Allan Sr.; daughters Kathleen (Brian) Richardson, Lake Ainslie, Jennifer (Richard) LeDue, Whycocomagh; sons William (Joan), Calgary, Ab., Allan (Allison), Iron Mines, Leslie (Tammy), Big Marsh Road, Richard (Margie), Blues Mills; sisters Florrie (Peter Alex) Ferguson, Dena MacKinnon, Emily (Morrison) MacKay, all of Whycocomagh, Kaye (Dan Neil) Shaw, Baddeck; brothers Billy (Shirley), Whycocomagh, Winston (Jean), Baddeck, Sandy (Tina), Kewstoke; grandchildren Matthew (Amy), Bryien (Stacey), Lance (Katelin), Jody, Emma, Cody, Mitchell, Ethan, Blake, Zachary, Shelby, Desmond, Thomas, Marrissa, Avery; great granddaughter Sophia. She was predeceased by sisters Margaret “Peggy” Pearo, Irene MacPherson, brother Jackie, niece Elaine Campbell, uncle Duncan MacLean. Visitation will be 2-9pm Wednesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh. Funeral service will be 11am Thursday in River Denys Presbyterian Church with Rev. Lloyd Murdock officiating.
