Rouse, Allan Herbert Sr. – 75, Big Marsh Road, Inverness Co., died Monday, May 4, 2009 in Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck. Born in Upper River Denys, he was a son of the late Harry and Kathleen (Large) Rouse. He was retired from the Department of Transportation, where he was a construction foreman and in his earlier years Allan worked with the D.O.T. as a snowplow operator, also he worked at the Heavy Water plant and was a dozer operator. Allan leaves to mourn his daughters, Kathleen (Brian) Richardson, Lake Ainslie and Jennifer (Richard) LeDue, Whycocomagh; sons, Willie (Joan), Calgary, Ab., Allan (Allison), Iron Mines, Leslie (Tammy), Big Marsh Road, Richard (Margie), Blues Mills; sisters Wilena Ryan, Port Hawkesbury; brothers Gordon (Diane) River Denys and Edward (Faye), Keystoke; grandchildren Matthew( Amy), Bryien (Stacey), Lance (Katelin), Jody, Emma, Ethan, Cody, Shelby, Mitchell, Blake, Zachery, Desmond, Thomas, Marrissa and Avery; great granddaughter Sophia. Allan was predeceased by his wife Shirley (Nock) and his parents Harry and Kathleen Rouse. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m., Thursday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday in River Denys Presbyterian Church with Rev. Adam Lees officiating. Burial in Upper River Denys Cemetery.
