URQUHART, Neil William - 62, West Bay, Richmond Co., died suddenly Saturday, January 12, 2008, in West Bay. Born in Sydney, he was a son of Catherine (Gillis) Urquhart, West Bay, and the late Donald Urquhart. Neil was a retired superintendent of the TMP Plant, Stora Forest Industries, Point Tupper. He was a member of West Bay United Church, owned and operated the Bras d'Or Lake Mink Ranch, and was a member of the Nova Scotia Mink Breeders Association. Neil enjoyed gardening, boating, four-wheeling, hunting and fishing. He is survived by companion, Gail Johnson; daughters, Lena LeBlanc, Halifax; Heather (Lennan) Hart, Port Hawkesbury; son, Les (Laurie), West Bay; sister, Lorraine (John) Walker, Marion Bridge; brothers, David, Hamilton, Ont.; Glen (Anna), New Glasgow; grandchildren, Lydia, Rowan, Kale, Callie, Keira, Madison, and Brett; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. this evening and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mark's United Church, Port Hawkesbury, with Rev. David MacLean officiating. Reception to follow in West Bay Community Hall.
