SAMPLE, Sylvanus Keith “Vannie” – 80, Mulgrave, died Monday May, 5, 2008 in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Stellarton, Pictou, Co. he was the son of the late Alexander and Bertha (Taylor) Sample. Vannie retired as a stationery engineer from Michelin. He was a member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Mulgrave. He is survived by his wife Evelyn (Halfpenny); daughters Linda (John) DeCoste, Auld’s Cove, Ada (Tom) McIvor, Calgary, Ab., Debbie Sample (Donnie), Sault Ste Marie, Ont.; sons Keith (late Colleen), Alexander “Sandy” (late Catherine), both of Winnipeg, Man., sister Lois Campbell, Stellarton; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by daughter Roxanne in infancy, brothers Winston, Clarence, Bennie, Reid and sisters Jean, Laura. There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be 11am Friday in St. James Anglican Church, Middle Melford with Rev. Susan Best officiating. Burial in St. James Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
