MacPHERSON, Allen Rodney – 59, Boylston, Guysborough, Co., died Tuesday June, 10, 2008 in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Hoitt and Thelma (Hart) MacPherson. He was a member of Boylston United Church. Allen was a heavy equipment operator, a long time member of I.U.O.E. Local 721 and a Christmas tree producer for many years. Allen was a member and Past Master of Eastern Light Lodge #72 A.F.&A.M., Guysborough. He was also an avid sport fisherman. Allen is survived by his loving wife Betty Anne (Jones); son Jay (Karen Carrigan and her children), Antigonish; brother Hugh (Lillian), Manchester; sisters Margaret (Jim) Crittenden, Marjorie Conrad (Harold), both of Beaverbank; many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. A celebration of Allen’s life will be held 4pm Saturday in Boylston United Church with Rev. Heather Manuel officiating. Burial at a later date. No flowers by the family’s request. Memorial donations may be made to Guysborough Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Palliative Care Program.
