PORPER, Viola Margaret - 95, Guysborough, died Saturday, December 6, 2008, in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in St. Francis Harbour, she was a daughter of the late James and Sadie (Leet) Porper. Viola retired from the dietary dept. of the former VG Hospital in Halifax. She was a member of the former Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Hadleyville, and an adherent of Perry Rockwood Church, Halifax. Surviving are sister, Mabel Grady, R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home, Antigonish; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Elmer and Gordon. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. this evening in the Mulgrave and Area Resting Place. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. James Anglican Church, Middle Melford, Rev. Susan Best officiating. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Hadleyville. Memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity Cemetery Fund. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
