MacQueen, Elizabeth Ann “Beth” - 97, Inverness formerly of Whycocomagh, died Monday, September 28, 2009 in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital, Inverness. Beth was born in Inverness, on September 10, 1912, a daughter of the late John A. and Sarah Ann (Ferguson) MacLeod. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Beth was a loving, caring person with a great sense of humor. She is survived by her sisters, June Magury, Ontario and Sadie MacQueen, Boston, Mass; several nieces and nephews. Beth was predeceased by her husband, William, brothers, Walter (Adelaide), John (Irene) and Allister, sisters, Georgina Thompson and Mae (Bill) Mullins. Visitation will be held 2-9 p.m. Wednesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church with Rev. Adam Lees officiating. Burial in Stewartdale Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations in memory of Beth may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.
