McNamara, Mary Margaret “Margie” - 48, Evanston, died Sunday, October 11, 2009, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Antigonish, she was a daughter of the late John Dan and Bernice (MacLean) MacDonald. Margie was employed as a waitress at the Hearthstone Inn, Port Hastings, and a member of St. Francis de Sales Parish, Lower River Inhabitants. She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Gary; sons, Justin, Petawawa, Ont; Jason, Evanston; sisters, Sarah (Rodney) Goods, Mulgrave; Sandra Lee (Jimmy MacRae), Evanston; brothers, John Dougie and Stephen “Bill” (Jacquelyn), both of West Bay Road; brother-in-law, Alan Chisholm, Askilton, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Jean Chisholm. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Margaret’s Roman Catholic Church, West Bay Road, with Father Barrett Claire-Johnson officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Margie’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
