SKINNER, Lloyd Alvin “Jackie” – 61, Sunnyville, Guysborough, Co., died Saturday June, 21, 2008 at home. Born in Guysborough, he was a son of the late John and Lillian (Dorrington) Skinner. Lloyd was employed with the Dept. of Natural Resources, and a member of the Guysborough Lion’s Club and the Guysborough Volunteer Fire Dept. He was also a member of Sunnyville United Baptist Church. Lloyd was a loving father to his children and granddaughters. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia (Skinner); daughters Stacey, Antigonish, Sabrina, Guysborough; sons Lloyd Jr. (Stephanie), Edmonton, Ab., Adam (Roudlyn), Toronto, Ont., Tony (Charlene), Greenwood; sisters Rita (Bill) Ashe, Antigonish, Dorothy Skinner, Toronto, Ont., Elizabeth Borden, Halifax, Pearl Skinner, Dora Banks, both of New York, Maude MacLean, New Glasgow, Ella Skinner, Antigonish; brother Thomas (Shirley), Boylston; granddaughters Jasmine, Keanna; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Norman, Wilfred, Earl, John, Chester, sister Hattie Ashe.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9pm Friday in Sunnyville United Baptist Church from where the funeral service will be held 2pm Saturday with Rev. Pauline Coffin officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Sunnyville United Baptist Church.
