PARKER, Terrance Alexander “Terry” – 53, Canso, died Tuesday October 7, 2008 in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso. Born in Antigonish, He was a son of the late Robert and Genevieve “Gerloch” Florence (Fanning) Parker. Terry worked as a labourer in and around Canso. He was a very active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 46, Canso and Star of the Sea Parish. Terry was known as a great sports fan and loved to play softball, darts and horseshoes. Music and playing the guitar was a big part of his life but family is what he cherished most. He is survived by his loving wife Marie (Baker); daughter Danielle, Canso ; son Alex, Fort McMurray; sisters Anita (Raymond), Hamilton, ON, Carolyn (Bill), Canso; brothers Robert “Tunk”, Newmarket, ON, Joe (Stella), Canso, , George (Kathy), Canso, Hughie (Liz), Alliston, ON, Don, Hamilton, ON, Patrick (Leah), Oromocto, N.B., Gerry (Jelly), Perry (Marg), Brian (Carol), all of Canso; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm Thursday and 2-4 pm and 6-9pm Friday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral Mass will be held 11 am Saturday in Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Canso with Fr. Daniel Boudreau officiating. Burial in the Parish Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Star of the Sea Parish Building Fund.
