MacKINNON, Margaret — 88, Orangedale, Inverness Co., died Sunday, December 27, 2009, at home. Born in West Bay, Inverness Co., she was a daughter of the late Murdoch and Mary Bell (MacKenzie) Campbell. Margaret was a homemaker and a member of Forbes United Church, River Denys. She is survived by sons, Brian (Susan), Dartmouth and Dana (Murdena), Whycocomagh; daughters, Marguerite (Murdoch) Olsen, Orangedale and Ann Marie (Calvin) Gillis, River Denys; grandchildren, Robert, Beverley, James, Dougie, Corene, Lori, Dwayne, Matthew, Alisha, Brittany, Lyle and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Anna, Anthony, Matson and Dalton. Margaret was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, Ewen; brothers, Donnie, John, Angus, Freeman and Donald; sisters, Annie, Mary, Catherine. She will be missed by her feline companion Sassy. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday in Forbes United Church, River Denys with Rev. Janet Blois officiating. Burial in Fir Grove Cemetery.
