KEHOE, Charles Joseph — 48, Port Hawkesbury, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, February 15, 2010, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Sydney, he was a son of Anna (MacArthur) and the late Raymond Kehoe. Charlie was a papermaker employed with Newpage, Port Hawkesbury, a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Port Hawkesbury, KOC Cape Nova Council 7924, the Port Hawkesbury Volunteer Fire Department and Communication Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada Local 972. Charlie was often found in his garage working on his various projects He was an avid Nascar fan and worked at Riverside Speedway on weekends off. Surviving are his loving wife, Charlene (Jardine); his pride and joy, his daughters, Ashley and Michelle, son, Billy, all at home; sisters, Raylene (Edward) MacDonald, Long Point; Karen (Almon) Chisholm, Port Hawkesbury; brothers, John (Susan), Halifax; Paul (Erin), Port Hawkesbury; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. with vigil service at 2 p.m. Thursday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Father Andrew Boyd officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Joseph's Cemetery Fund.
