SMITH, Floyd "George" - Age 93 of Grand Desert. Passed away peacefully on Monday, July 26, 2021 in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Halifax on April 30th, 1928, he was a son of the late Frank and Cora (Newcombe) Smith. He was predeceased by his brother and sister in-law Harold and Martha Smith whom where his caregivers for most of his life. Georgie had a love for playing horseshoes and won trophies in bowling! You could often find him playing his musical instrument the spoons. Georgie will be missed dearly by all his Nieces and Nephews. "Unky" as called by most of his great-nieces and nephews had a hand in raising pretty much all of us. George had a charm about him and anyone who knew him can tell you that! He will always hold a special place in every one of our hearts. Cremation has taken place. There will be no funeral at this time, burial will take place at a later date. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all the support and help during this very difficult time.
