HORNE, Harry Edward - 90, Little Dover, died Thursday, October 16, 2008, with his family at his side in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Little Dover, he was a son of the late Simon and Florence (Myatt) Horne.
Harry was a member of St. Agnes Parish, Little Dover. He was a retired fisherman, an avid card player, and enjoyed woodworking and gardening. He is survived by daughters, Phyllis (Clair) MacDonald, Little Dover; Anita (Enos) Richard, Canso; sons, Ronald (Mary Ann), Antigonish; Cyril (Sandra), New Glasgow; Terry (Margie), South Brookfield, Queens Co.; Paul (Lorna), Canso; Gary at home; sisters, Audrey Avery, Windsor; Genevieve Snider, Ottawa, Ont.; sister-in-law, Bet Horne, Little Dover; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Harry was predeceased by wife, Lucy (Keefe); son, Kevin; brother, Clarence; sisters, Margaret, Viola and Laura.
Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-9 p.m. Sunday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral Mass will be held 11a.m., Monday, October 20, 2008 in St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Little Dover with Father Daniel Boudreau officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
