McDOUGALL, Sarah Katherine "Sadie" - 86, Canso, Guysborough, Co., died Thursday, March 27, 2008, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Canso, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Rose (Eustace) Cohoon. Sadie was a member of Star of the Sea Parish, Canso. She worked as a school teacher and retired as an office clerk from Northern Electric, Halifax. She is survived by daughter, Marian (Robert) Cumby, Newmarket, Ont.; sisters, Patricia Stark, Sarnia, Ont.; Rita Brackenridge, California; Mary (Fred) Watson, Kingston, Ont.; Carmelita (Jacques) Chevarie, Magdalen Islands; Marion (Vern) Smith, Halifax; Florence Munroe, Margaret (Robert) Geddes, both of Canso; brothers, Douglas (Norma), Vancouver, B.C.; John (Phyllis), Nictaux Falls; Frank "Bud" (Gladys), Canso; grandchildren, Joel, Justin, Leah, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald; sister, Lucina; brothers, Jim, Bob, Cecil, David, and Edward. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today, and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Monday in Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, with Father Daniel Boudreau officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
