YOUNG, Michael Andrew "Mike" — 22, of Waycobah First Nations, Inverness Co., passed away on Sunday morning, June 14, 2009, in Waycobah. Born in Sydney, he was a son of William Young, Eskasoni, and Bernadette (Michael) Young, Waycobah. Mike was a member of Blessed Katerie Parish, Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Waycobah. He enjoyed playing cards, basketball, watching the NHL playoffs, especially when the Penguins won the Stanley Cup. He cherished the company of his family and friends and was very quiet, however his presence was always a pleasure to be around. He is survived by sister, Melissa (Randall) Young, Waycobah; brothers, William (Adrienne) Googoo, Charles "Chuck", both of Waycobah; uncles, Alfred (Mary Jane) Young, Waycobah; Kevin Young, Allan (Jackie) Young, Charles Young, Alphonse (Annie) Young, all of Eskasoni; Andrew (Anna) Michael, Wacobah; Lester (Juanita) Michael, Wagmatcook; auntie's, Gloria (Sid) Gould, Eskasoni; Anita Young, East Bay; Charlotte Anne Young, Mary Anne Young, both of Eskasoni; Janey Stevens, Wagmatcook; Katy Michael, Waycobah; nieces, Serena, Adreah; nephew, Korbin, who loved him and will miss his special love. He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Charles and Caroline Young; maternal grandparents, Wilfred and Dorothy Michael; uncles, Reginald Young, Ké ptin Alexander Michael and Clarence Michael. Visitation will be held at the family residence, 30 Tower Lane, Waycobah, after 4 p.m. Thurdsay. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday from Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, with Father Robert McNeil officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
