WRIGHT, Gerald Charles — 79, Port Hawkesbury, died Monday, December 21, 2009, in Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Point Tupper, he was a son of the late Albert and Mary (Richard) Wright. Gerald worked as a labourer and was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Port Hawkesbury. Gerald is survived by his sister, Audrey McNamara, Port Hawkesbury; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, George. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday with a vigil service at 7 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, December 24, in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury with Father Andrew Boyd officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date.
