Logan, Catherine Christene, - 93, Logan’s Glen, Inv. Co.; died peacefully on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Richmond Villa, St. Peter’s. Catherine was born December 9, 1916 in Logan’s Glen, Inverness County, a daughter of the late Phillip and Helen (MacLean) Logan. Catherine was an adherent of Little Narrows Presbyterian Church. She worked 46 years, as an accounting clerk from Sydney to Hay River, NWT. Catherine was an avid traveller, always returning to Cape Breton. She is survived by two nieces and three nephews. Catherine was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her parents, sister, Margaret MacLeod and brother, Hector Logan. A very special and heartfelt Thank-You to the staff and caregivers of Richmond Villa. You were all her extended family and made sure “her tea was always hot.” Your kindness will never be forgotten. Visitation will be held 2-9 p.m., Wednesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in Little Narrows Presbyterian Church with Rev. Adam Lees officiating. Burial in Little Narrows Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Catherine may be made to Little Narrows Presbyterian Church or a charity of choice.
