GILLIS, Allan "Clayton" - 56, Orangedale, went home to Heaven on June 24, 2007. Born in Inverness, he was a son of Harry and the late Alexandria (MacFadyen) Gillis. He was a silviculturist with Timbercreek Forestry Limited. He was a member of Blues Mills Gospel Hall. He is survived by his wife, Sarah (Cummings); daughters, Alicia, Halifax; Amanda, at home; sons, Lee, Halifax; Jordie, Halifax; Jarrett, at home; sisters, Adelaide (John) Tapscott, Mississauga, Ont.; Jeananne, Orangedale; Isabelle (Joey) Barrett, Dartmouth; brothers, Wilfred (Connie), Burlington, Ont.; Jamie (Marilyn), Hamilton, Ont.; Winston, Halifax. He was predeceased by his mother, Alexandria. Visitation will take place Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. in Blues Mills Gospel Hall. Funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Whycocomagh Education Centre, Whycocomagh, with Mr. David Swan and Mr. David Hunt officiating. Burial in Malagawatch Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh.
