GEORGE, Helen Marie, Port Hawkesbury, died Thursday July, 31, 2008 in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Sydney Mines, Cape Breton, Co., she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Elizabeth (Todd) LeBlanc. Helen was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Port Hawkesbury. She enjoyed camping at MacKinnon's Campground in Lake Ainslie for many years. Helen is survived by her husband Courtney; sons Cameron (Nancy) Marsh, Barrie, Ont., Joseph (Monique) Marsh, Keswick, Ont.; brothers James (Sheila), Newmarket, Ont., Ralph (Pat), London, Ont., Cameron (Patricia), Sydney, Kenny, Ft. McMurray, Ab., Melvin (Debbie), Bras D'or; grandsons Corey, Joey, adopted grandson Andrew MacDonald; great grandson Jessie. She will be missed by her canine pets, Yoshie and Chimo. She was predeceased by brother Matthew. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9pm Sunday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury where a Vigil Service will be held at 2pm. Funeral mass will be held 10am Monday in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Dan MacDonald officiating. Burial in the Parish Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the S.P.C.A. or Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the nurses at Strait Richmond Hospital, Dr. Paul Pluta and Dr. James Collins for the wonderful care given to Helen during her sickness.
