Gray, Wesley Sterling “Wes” … 66, Port Hawkesbury died Saturday, October 17, 2009 at home. Born in Sydney, he was a son of the late Kenneth W. and Edna A. (MacGillivary) Gray. Wes was a retired custodian with Inverness County School Board and a member of St. Mark’s United Church, Port Hawkesbury. Wes is survived by his loving wife, Margaret (Fox); daughter Amanda, Port Hawkesbury; sons Wesley (Pam Hipson), Lawrencetown; Blair (Karen), Halifax; Greg (Dana Bryon), Edmonton AB; stepson, David Keefe, Port Hawkesbury. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Wes was predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Bell. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Wednesday, in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral service will be held 11a.m. Thursday in St. Mark’s United Church, with Rev. Sheldon LeGrow officiating. Burial in Southbrook Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in Wes’s memory to Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Canadian Diabetes Association.
