GEORGE, Robert D. "Bob" — 78, Halfway Cove, Guysborough Co. We regret to announce the death of our beloved brother Bob, which occurred in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough, on Sunday, February 14, 2010. Born in Linwood, Antigonish Co. in 1931, he was a son of the late Freeman and Annie (Kinney) George (Halfway Cove). He is survived by brothers, Donald (Pam), Geneva, N.Y.; Stanley (Sheila), Lansdowne, Ont.; Freeman "Bud" (Brenda), Halfway Cove; sisters, Vivian Lester, Brockville, Ont.; Mabel (Aubrey) Jamieson, Halfway Cove; ex-wife, Shirley Brothers, California; step daughter, Judy; step grandchildren, Carrie, Jeff and Scott; great-grandchild, Noah; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Joseph and Vernon; sisters, Doris Wickwire and Georgina Burgess. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date in St. James Anglican Church, Halfway Cove. Donations in his memory may be made to The Arthritis Society, St. James Anglican Church or a charity of choice.
