FRASER, Donald Alexander- 74, Aberdeen, Inverness, Co., died Thursday, April, 24, 2008 in Port Hastings. Born in Aberdeen, he was a son of the late John Alexander and Jessie Belle (Smith) Fraser. Donald was a retired employee of Stora Forest Industries, Point Tupper and retired as the manager of the Whycocomagh and Area Arena. He was a member of Sircom Lodge # 66, A.F. & A.M., Whycocomagh and a lifelong member of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party. Donald was an adherent of Stewart United Church, Whycocomagh. He is survived by his wife Audrey (MacKay); daughter Jesslyn Fraser, Whycocomagh; step-daughters Joyce Bettslo (Gordie), South Bar, Ruby MacDonald, Truro; sons Kerry (Heather), Hubley, Brad (Robyn), Mount Pearl, NL; sisters Martha (Bobby) MacMillan, Sydney, Janet (David) Westcott, Hillside Mira, Myra (Allister) Gillis, River Denys, Edna (Donald) Stewart, Aberdeen; brother Jack (Millie), Aberdeen; grandchildren Pamela, Ashley, Cameron, Sarah, Logan. He was predeceased by sister Joan Fraser.
Visitation will be 2-7pm Sunday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh Funeral service will be 11am Monday in Stewart United Church with Rev. Donna Tourneur officiating. Burial in Stewartdale Cemetery. A reception to follow in the Cameron Hall, Whycocomagh. Memorial donations may be made to Stewartdale Cemetery.
