Please share a memory of Mabel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ferguson - Mabel Florence (Flagg) left this life after 98 years 10 months and 24 days, to begin her eternal life with God on Monday October 6th, 2008. Mabel was born in Bertie Township, Ontario on November 12th, 1909, the daughter of late George and Mina (Moore) Flagg. Mabel was a long time resident of Kempt Road, Richmond County, where her door was always open and the tea was steeped and ready to be poured. She could always be counted on to listen when you had something to say, to pitch in and help when there was a need, and to nourish people with her delicious homemade meals and lots of love. Her family was the most important part of her life, and she strove to play an active role in each successive generation, even travelling to Fenwick, Ontario in 2006 at the age of ninety six to attend one last Flagg Family Reunion. Mabel is survived by her sons Arvid Ferguson and Reg Ferguson; her daughters Anna MacQuarrie, Colleen Beaton, and Shirley McNamara; eighteen grandchildren; thirty one great grandchildren; and eleven great-great grandchildren. Mabel was predeceased by her husband James Ferguson; sons Marvin Ferguson and Aubrey Ferguson; brothers Isaac Flagg, Norman Flagg, and Bill Flagg; sister Nellie Davies; and half sisters Amelia Leck and Evelyn Johnson.
