FOUGERE, John Murdick — 95, St. Peter's, passed away peacefully November 21, 2009, in Strait Richmond Hospital. Born in River Bourgeois, he was the son of the late Murdick and Sarah (Boudreau) Fougere. John moved to Michigan at an early age and returned to Nova Scotia with his family in 1969. He proudly served in France and Germany with the United States Army during the Second World War. Following the war, he successfully established and ran his own business (Fougere Contracting). He is survived by sons, Robert, Farmington, Mich.; Michael (Cindy), Regina, Sask.; daughters, Lucille (Dan) Fougere, Havre Boucher; Barbara, Moncton; grandchildren, John and Sarah MacKenzie, Moncton; Thomas, Kristen and Lucas Fougere, Regina; Andrea, John and Marc Fougere, Havre Boucher; brother Herman, Halifax and sisters, Cecelia and Margaret, River Bourgeois. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Edna; son, Kenneth; brothers, Charles, Abraham, William and Amable; sisters, Sadie, Rita and Mary Helen. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, St. Peter's. Funeral service at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, in St. Peter's United Church, St. Peter's, Rev.
