Fougere, Fredrick Joseph “Fred” … 40, Canso and Halifax, died suddenly Friday February 5, 2010 in Halifax. Born in Canso on January 30, 1970, he was a son of Gerard of Canso and the late Mabel (McNeil) Fougere. Fred was raised in Canso but spend most of his life in Halifax and surrounding areas. He is survived by sister, Mary (Ron) Helpard, Sheet Harbour; brother, Edward, Canso. He was predeceased by brothers, Joseph in infancy, Michael, Patrick, and Vincent; sister Laura Haines.
There will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 24, in Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Canso, with Father Andrew Gillies officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of the Dennis Haverstock Funeral Homes Ltd., Canso.
