Ehler, Eileen Isabel - 68, Port Hawkesbury. Passed away Saturday, January 17, 2009 in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston after a brief courageous battle with cancer. Born in Canso, she was a daughter of the Late Victor Munroe and Jean Hawes (Gordon Hollett). Eileen is survived by her loving daughters Sharon, Toronto, Ontario and Angela (Bruce) Fitzner precious granddaughters Julia and Stephanie Fitzner all of Dartmouth; brother Gord (Doreen), Georgetown, Ontario; sisters Patricia (Bob) Esplen, Georgetown, Ontario; Sylvia (Jack) Duffy, Dartmouth. She was predeceased by her husband Angus. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Thursday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury, funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, in Holy Trinity Anglican Church , Port Hawkesbury with Rev. Susan Best officiating. Burial at a later date. Family flowers only. Memorial donations in memory of Eileen may be made to a charity of choice. Special Thanks to the staff of Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society and her many close friends who have been very supportive.
