MacDONALD, Sarah Ann - 93, of Long Point, Inverness Co., passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 8, 2009, in Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home. Born in Creignish, Inverness Co., Sarah was a daughter of the late Jack and Catherine Ann (MacDonald) MacIsaac. Sarah was a gentle woman who dedicated her life to her family, her religion and her Celtic heritage. She was a member of St. Andrew's Parish Judique. She is survived by her children, Ann MacDonald, Halifax; Marilyn (Hugh) Webb, Antigonish; Betty MacDonald, Halifax; Alice (Leo) Young, Tantallon; Sandy (Susan) MacDonald, Long Point; Steve (Helma) MacDonald, Antigonish; sisters, Mary Grant, Halifax; Cecilia Davis, Leamington, Ont.; sister-in-law, Sally MacIsaac, Creignish; brothers-in-law, Grant MacDonald, Dartmouth; John Radchuk, Hamilton, Ont.; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John Angus MacDonald; son in infancy; brothers, Donald Angus, Alex MacIsaac; sisters, Florence MacDonald, Catherine Davidson, Mae Radchuk, Josephine MacDonald. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home , Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church with Father Allan MacMillan officiating. Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
