Hindle, Mary Estelle - 96, of Blues Mills, died Thursday, October 29, 2009 in Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck. Born in Blues Mills, Inv. Co., she was a daughter of the late William and Jessie (Campbell) Macdonald. Mary was a member of Blues Mills Gospel Hall.
The last four years were spent residing with her niece, Estelle Sinclair. Mary spent her earlier years in Blues Mills, then lived and worked in Toronto for many years before she and Edward retired to Blues Mills in 1972. She is survived by her daughter, Pat (Bert) Bradley, Peterborough, Ont.; sister-in-law, Isabel Macdonald, Blues Mills; granddaughters, Janet Bradley, Peterborough, Ont. and Jennifer Potts, Kitchener, Ont.; grandson, John Bradley, Toronto, Ont.; great-grandchildren, Daniel Akenna, Peterborough, Ont.; Joseph and Adam Potts, Kitchener, Ont.; many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Mary was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Edward; siblings, David, Mabel, Fred, Edith and Rebecca.
Visitation will be held in Blues Mills Gospel Hall, Mountian Road, Blues Mills from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday, from where the funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, with David Swan, Fred Bartlett, and Donald Bartlett officiating. Burial in Stewartdale Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in Mary's memory may be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, Isaac Walton Killam Hospital for Children, or Stewartdale Cemetery.
