my heart felt condolences to henry , keith and dorothy, you would not know me, but I babysat you many, many years ago in port hawkesbury. I cannot say enough about your parents and the kindness and respect they showed me through my teenage years, babysitting you and the kindness they showed me.. I have fond memories of you all as toddlers. this would have been in the 60's , maybe 1963 .I left n.s in 1964 to move to ontario . your parents were so very kind to me, as a baby-sitter, I often when I visited years later as a married, woman I would have visited them. they were the most wonderful people i have ever met. i now live in kitchener ontario. and wish I would have kept in touch. we lived in the housing group Tamarch Heitghts... you wouldn't remember my parents, as you were toddlers. I now live in kitchener ontario. but if you are trying to figure out this puzzle, I was the daughter of Johnnie Ryan, family of eight girls and one boy, my brother went to school with hal. my love and sympathy to you all. blessings jackie joly

Hal, DorothyAnn, Colleen, Keith and Charlene. We were sadden to hear about the loss of your Dad. I don't think the loss of a parent is easy at any age and the loss of your second parent would make it even harder. Your parents were always kind to me. They even took me camping in PEI to keep Brian company one summer. Brian and I hung around a lot in elementary school. Mom shared a great story with me a few years ago about a time when we were all young. To keep from needing a babysitter she and your dad would go to one of the Sunday morning mass together and when they got home my dad would then go to the second mass with your mom. Father Hughie MacDonald was new to our parish and once he was settled he decided to go around to all the homes of his parishioners to say hello. He first went to your parents and was puzzled to see your dad, Bruce hanging out with Betty. ..... after all wasn't he married to Sheila??? Then he came over to our house to see my dad, Jim hanging out with mom. It was a true head scratcher for him until he realized they were just trying to save from needing a babysitter. ( I am still not sure why the mothers didn't go together and then the fathers but maybe they thought it was safer to keep at least one mother on the hill) We grew up in such a great neighborhood. Many of the homes have new families living in them but the memories are wonderful. There has never been a time that we haven't sat around talking about our youth where the Windeler family is not part of the story. Hugs and Love to all the Windeler's Please know we are thinking of you. Cathy (Murphy) MacDonald and family.
