Dort, Marion Winnifred, - 83, West Cook’s Cove, Guysborough Co.; died Thursday, August 13, 2009 in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Cook’s Cove, Guys. Co., she was a daughter of the late William and Nettie (Spanks) Taylor. Marion was a homemaker and a member of Wesley United Church, Guysborough. She leaves to mourn her children, Hartley (Elaine), West Cook’s Cove; Irene (James) MacChesney, Havendale; Frank (Dianne), Hubley, Hfx. Co.; sister, Beatrice (Don) Corkum and brother, Earl Taylor, both of Cook’s Cove, grandchildren Gerry, Judy, Brian, Jeffery, Norman, Rebecca, and great-grandchildren, Candice, Amanda, Caylen, Alex, Samuel, Amy, Jonathan, Kasara, Devon and Chloe. Marion was predeceased by 1st husband, Raymond Uloth, 2nd husband, Frederick Dort and brother Harold Taylor. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Saturday, and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Monday in Wesley United Church, with Rev. Sheldon LeGrow officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
