CUNNINGHAM, Louis Jerome "Bud" - 77, Havendale, Guysborough Co., died peacefully at home by his warm wood stove on Wednesday, February 20, 2008, surrounded by his children. He was born in Havendale, a son of the late Gregory and Leona (Cunningham) Cunningham. Bud was a school bus driver for 28 years. He spent his years as a young man in the lumber camps, and in his spare time in later years you would find him in the woodpile, playing cards or telling a story. He was a member of St. Ann's Parish, Guysborough. He is survived by his wife, Helen (Bowles); daughters, Kay (Jimmy) Pelrine, Havendale; Ann (Billy) Hadley, Guysborough; Frances (Sam), Havendale; sons, Paul, Havendale; Anthony (Janet) Manchester; sisters, Evelyn Chisholm, New Glasgow; Helen Cunningham, Havendale; Marion (Jackie) Shea, Lesterdale; Dorothy (Réal) Gingras, Havendale; Florence (Cecil) Titus, Fall River; Frances Cunningham, Havendale; Kay (Joe) Chisholm, Havendale; Lee (Bob) Hamersma, Lesterdale; Jean (John) Chubb, Alberta; Bernadette (Tommy) Long, Lesterdale; foster sister, Marie Ruiteneerg, Sussex, N.B.; brothers, Joe (Donna) Hammonds Plains; Jim (Dolly) Lower Sackville; Austin (Kelly), Ontario; foster brother, Jim Dobson, New Glasgow; grandchildren, Carissa, Chelsa, Courtney, Daniel, Devin, Gregory, Ashley, Amanda, Josh, and great-grandson, Colby. He was predeceased by grandson, Stephen Cunningham, brother, Leo, and sister, Shirley, both in infancy; brother-in-law, Jimmy Chisholm. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough. Funeral mass will be 11 a.m., Monday in St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Father Jonathan Nweke officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
