CASEY, Mary Ann … 92, Queensport, Guysborough, Co. passed away Monday, March, 24, 2008 in Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Born in Queensport, she was a daughter of the late Alphonso Levi and Gertrude Eldora (Richard) O’Leary. Mary served the community as a general storekeeper for twenty three years from 1947-1969 and as the Avon Lady for ten years, 1970-1980. She is survived by her son Alphonse (Rose) Casey; grandchildren Deborah Ann (Brian) Oldford, Charlene Marie (Steve) Casey-Gomes, Carolyn Fawn (Matthew) Gilbert; sisters Agatha Feltmate, Ruby (Nick) Carter, Helen (Bill) Brown, Tena (Mac) Fancy, Minnie (Joe) Doiroin; brother Osborne (Winnie); great grandchildren Mitchell Oldford, Jennifer and Katelyn Gay; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Erskine Power, sisters Alice, Florence George, brothers Thomas and Leo.
There will be no visitation. A Funeral Mass will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 14th, 2008 in St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Queensport with Fr. Daniel Boudreau officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Church or Cemetery Fund or a charity of one’s choice. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the doctors and the staff of Milford Haven Home for the special care and support given to Mary Ann during her stay there.
