CASEY, John Frederick … 61, Canso, Guysborough, Co. died Wednesday August, 27, 2008 in Eastern Memorial Hospital, Canso. Born in Antigonish, he was a son of the late Frederick Delmore and Bridget Victoria (Keefe) Casey. John was a retired machine operator for the Town of Canso. He was a member of Star of the Sea Parish, Canso, where he took great pride and very much enjoyed being a member of the Parish Choir. He was also a member of the Canso Volunteer Fire Dept. He is survived by his wife Betty Ann (Greencorn); daughters Tammy, Enfield, Amanda (Mike) Hanhams, Canso; son-in-law Richard Greene; sisters Brenda, Patricia, both of Little Dover; brothers Robert, Yarmouth, Joseph (Agnes), Little Dover; grandchildren Keagan, Morgan, Brooklyn; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be from 2-9pm Saturday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral mass will be 2pm Sunday in Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Boudreau officiating. Burial in the Parish Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Star of the Sea Building Fund. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
