CAMERON, Catherine Pearl — 84, River Denys, Inverness Co., passed away at home on Saturday January 9, 2010. She was born in Big Marsh, Inverness Co., a daughter of the late Duncan Angus and Catherine (Ferguson) Morrison.
Catherine was a loving mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She was a member of River Denys Presbyterian Church and was the church organist for a number of years and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her sons, Duncan and Charles, both of River Denys; daughter, Aleen (Gary) MacDonald, Port Hawkesbury; grandchildren, Jacqueline (John) Campbell, River Denys; Gale, Port Hawkesbury; Crystal Cameron, Truro; great-grandchildren, Tyler James and Nathan Kale, River Denys; sister Ella MacPhail, Big Marsh; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Allan; sisters, Lexie MacLennan, her twin Marguerite Cameron and Mary Morrison; brother, Cornelius.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in River Denys Presbyterian Church with Rev. Lloyd Murdock officiating. Burial in Stewartdale Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Catherine may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or charity of your choice. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
