CROFT, Carl Wayne – With profound sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Carl Wayne Croft of Rockdale, Richmond Co., on Friday, November 19, 2021, at the age of 76 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in 1945 to Stan and Hilda (Rudolph) Croft. Carl grew up in Liscombe. He worked as a mason/bricklayer until an injury to his back disabled him. Carl met his wife, the love of his life, Jane (Roach) (deceased 2019) of L’Ardoise, in Halifax where they married. In 1981 the family returned to settle in Rockdale. Carl was an only child and leaves behind his only son, Wayne (Tannis) Croft. He will also be fondly remembered by nieces, Marie (Bruce) Prout, L’Ardoise; Glenda Richard, River Bourgeois; cousins, Annie and Irene of Dartmouth; Paul and his daughter Carol, Spryfield; along with many other friends and extended family members. The family would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts the nurses and doctors of St. Martha’s Hospital. Specifically, the PCU and Palliative Care teams. Your care and compassion for Carl and the family will never be forgotten. Visitation will be Saturday, November 27, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.p.m. in Holy Guardian Angles Visitation Parlour, L'Arodise. A graveside service will be follow at 2 p.m. in Holy Guardian Angels Cemetery, L'Ardoise with Father John Yake officiating. Covid protcols will be followed Proof of Vaccination and face mask will be required at the visitation and graveside. Donations in Carl’s memory may be made to the Heart or Lung Associations of NS or a charity of one’s choice.
