LeBLANC, Catherine Anne - 49, Glendale. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Catherine Anne LeBlanc on Saturday, October 27, 2007, in Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in North Sydney on December 11, 1957, she was a daughter of the late Angus and Tena (MacEachern) MacGillivray. Catherine Anne was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend who truly enjoyed having those she loved by her side. Her family will always treasure the memories of her wonderful "get-togethers", especially at Christmas, where they always gathered. Her dedication and love for her husband, children and family was her most outstanding quality, and she was dearly loved in return. Catherine Anne is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Alfred; daughter, Christine, Fort McMurray, Alta.; sons, Terry, Edmonton, Alta.; Mark, Antigonish; sisters, Rose Mary (Dave) Doucet, Sydney; Evelyn (David) Burns, Port Hawkesbury; brothers, Donald (Mary), Ron (Rachel), both of Glendale; John (Kathy), Lively, Ont.; D.J. (Catherine), Mull River; Leonard (Betty), Calgary, Alta.; Francis (Mabel), Glendale. Also left to mourn is sister-in-law, Barbara MacGillivray, Glendale. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Sam, Lawrence, and infant brother, Lawrence Alexander.
Visitation will be in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury, today and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary of the Angels Roman Catholic Church, Glendale, with Father Allan MacPhie officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Cancer Centre or St. Mary's Cemetery Fund.
